With Christmas Day just under seven weeks away, now is the time to get your ducks in a row when it comes to planning the festive feast.
And speaking on This Morning, consumer expert Alice Beer revealed the tips and tricks to Rochelle Humes and Craig Doyle, including the important dates to pop in your calendar for delivery slots.
She also revealed her hacks to keep costs down - and where you can snag the cheapest festive family meals.

This Morning today looked at the cheapest online supermarket Christmas dinner baskets for this festive season.
The consumer team experimented with finding ingredients for a meal that would feed a family of four, although Alice said 'some quantities varied'.
The basket consisted of: a crown of turkey for four people, Maris Piper potatoes, fresh parsnips fresh carrots, sprouts, stuffing, gravy, a Christmas pudding, cranberry sauce and prosecco.
They looked at options from Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons and Waitrose.
Alice revealed that the offering from the cheapest retailer - Aldi - came to £30.54.
The most expensive basket - at £49.25 - was from M&S.
Asda was second cheapest at £31.75 and Asda followed in third place at a cost of £33.07.
GET DELIVERY SLOTS WHILE YOU CAN
Alice admitted that when it comes to being truly ahead of the race when it comes to delivery slots, 'the ship has sailed'.
She said that Ocado, Morrisons, Waitrose ASDA, Sainsbury's all released their slots for Christmas Eve and the day before about a month ago.
'And many of those shops are releasing them for people who've got priority passes, who pay that monthly fee, to be able to get those slots,' she added.

However some are going to be releasing these later.
'You need nerves of steel,' the expert cautioned.
ASDA are going to release their Christmas Eve slots on November 20, she explained, while Tesco are putting theirs out on November 21 at 6am.

Alice said that 'all is not lost' if you can't snag a delivery slot, admitting she's not a 'big fan of them' and 'finds click and collect better'.
'Say they turn up Christmas Eve and the brandy butter's missing 'cause it wasn't available that morning,' she theorised.
'Whereas it might be £3 for a delivery slot for actual delivery to your home, [click and collect] is something like 50p and somebody's still doing your shopping for you.'
What's more, you're out and near the shops if there is something missing or unavailable in the store.
Alice said that, while availability varies depending on where you live, it's worth taking a look.
'In my area, I did a quick scan last night and Morrisons had no delivery slots left just before Christmas - I could click and collect on the 23rd for just a pound though,' she revealed.

KEEP ON TOP OF DEALS
'There's going to be deals nearer to the time and in order to get those deals you're going to have to prepare,' the expert warned.
'So if you're going to shop around, kingslot96 you need every single supermarket loyalty scheme, you need to sign up.'
Alice said shoppers 'need' to be on the Lidl Plus app because 'there are going to be some really good deals'.
Another supermarket you can start planning with now is Tesco.
'Tesco Clubcard - right now they've got three lots of party food for £6, so if you've got space in your freezer, you go and get that party food now,' she urged.
'It's out of this month's pay-packet rather than next month's pay-packet and it's in your freezer and yore sorted and you've got a deal.'

Alice said there are easy ways to cut corners and shave away at pennies and pounds off the shopping baskets.
'You can look for wonky fruit and veg instead of the normal fruit and veg,' she advised.
'Buy the smaller turkey, stock up on sausage meat and things like that.'
